It is not the ability to READ Swedish or Norwegian that is the trouble, it is mostly the ability to reply in those languages. I live in Western Canada. Ever since I made friends with Erik, (bluesified) several years ago, I have been reading this forum rather regularly. and have at times corresponded with various members, but always in English. I can understand most of what I read in either language, (speaking fluent German is a big help) and rarely am I forced to go running for my dictionaries, but it simply takes me too long to compose what I wish to say, and so I rarely reply. I have replied in various threads in English and everyone has been most forgiving and accommodating of my shortcomings. But then, doesn't everyone in Sweden speak English? When I travelled there last year, it seemed that everyone was very kind to me and my broken Swedish and switched instantly to English so that I could be understood... I loved it! If I have something important to add to a discussion, I will keep replying in English, and hope that the forum members will be as understanding as they have been in the past... Thank you, fellows! No problem whatsoever, Larry. Keep on responding in English. It´s quite impressive that you manage to read Swedish and Norwegian!

Hey guys, thanks so much for opening this section!
I visit this great forum relatively often, but the language barrier is always a mess so I hardly ever post anything... I just silently steal all your knowledge! ;D
Anyway, you've been always so kind and comprehensive with the non swedish spoken folks popping in here like me, and I want to thank you for that.

You're always welcome, and I might add that your work with google translate seems to work fine, in which case you need not post in here.
