Hej alla.
Var ner i Eskilstuna i helgen och besökte Peter en sväng både på lördagen och söndagen. Uppdraget var (förrutom att prova massa gitarrer och så vidare ) att fixa iordning den Levin-parlor jag köpte av Robbi i somras på ackeguraträffen.
Halsen hade nästan helt lossnat i infästningen mot kroppen, men greppbrädan satt kvar på locket.
Notera på bilderna nedan det helt till formen felaktiga Bjärton-plektrumskyddet. ;D
Jag tänker värma försiktigt och lyfta på det och se hur locket ser ut under senare, men misstänker att det suttit på riktigt länge och är mycket ljusare under, så det får nog sitta kvar.
Är det någon som vet vad modellen heter? Vet något om den? Jag hittade ingen katalog från 1947 (serienummret är 195017 så det säger oss 1947) på mandolinhörnansidan. Locket är gran, sidor och bak verkar vara flammig björk.

Lätt som en plätt.
Bort med gamla limrester.
Vi skrapade även bort lim på locket och i halsinfästningen.
Sen på med massor av LHG, limknekt från botten över halsklack, en tving över halsinfästningen, två över greppbrädan. Vi drog åt alla tvingar tills vi hörde ett knak, då var det hårt nog tyckte vi. ;D
Söndag. Tvingarna av, varmvatten + disksvamp för att ta bort limrester, sen lite bandslipning och kröning, efter det, strängar på.
Uppstämd och provspelning.
Halsen blev spikrak, och det gamla stallet (som vi inte tror är original) var för lågt, så strängarna tog i banden. Så ett par schims av gran (som skall fixas till i form och färg sen) hamnade under stallet.
Det blev perfekt stränghöjd direkt, schimsen fick stanna kvar och en ordentlig provspelning kunde äga rum.
Ljudet då? Peter kanske kan ge en objektiv bedömning.
Jag gjorde en mycket slarvig inspelning ikväll (feber 39,5C + yrsel) med en troligtvis dum mickplacering, och det lät såhär:
Stämning låg till hög: CGCGGC.
